Project Details
This hotel project demonstrates how WeatherPrufe systems are applied at scale for commercial coastal properties, combining aesthetics, waterproofing, and protection against UV, humidity, and salt-laden sea air.
Project Scope
- Exterior repaint works: Full Weatherseal coating applied for weather-resistant finish.
- Interior repaint works: Walls and ceilings repainted with premium Weatherprufe finishes.
- Waterproofing surfaces: Elastocryl membrane applied on all parapets, roofs, balconies, and high-risk moisture areas.
- Woodwork protection: Weatherprufe Woodseal applied to timber doors, trims, and joinery.
- Crack and substrate repair: All cracks filled and reinforced using Weatherbond Enhance with cement.
Condition Assessment
- Salt moisture damage: Sea air had begun degrading paint and adhesion on exterior surfaces.
- Cracks and structural movement: Minor hairline cracks on walls and parapets required stabilisation.
- Moisture infiltration points: Flat roof sections and balcony edges were vulnerable to water ingress.
- Woodwork weathering: Timber surfaces exposed to sunlight showed early signs of fading and drying.
