Outeniquasbosch Mossel Bay | WeatherSeal Project
This project formed part of multiple residential developments at Outeniquasbosch in Mossel Bay completed by Southshore Devco paint and waterproofing solutions supplied by WeatherPrufe Paint Shop George and Southern Cape, where coastal exposure requires advanced protective coatings rather than standard decorative painting. The objective was to provide a complete external protection solution capable of resisting salt laden air, wind driven rain, and continuous UV exposure common to the Garden Route coastline.
WeatherPrufe WeatherSeal systems were specified to ensure consistent performance across multiple structures. The focus was not only visual improvement but also preventative building protection, reducing maintenance cycles and preventing early moisture related deterioration in a newly built coastal environment.
Project Details
A full exterior coating and waterproofing strategy was implemented to maximise coating performance, substrate protection, and long term moisture control in a marine environment.

- Surface Preparation: Cleaning, priming and adhesion promotion completed
Site Condition Assessment
Initial inspection confirmed that although structures were new, coastal exposure required preventative protection rather than reactive maintenance. Early protection significantly extends service life in seaside developments.
